Come along and enjoy the numerous benefits of these Chinese internal arts, whether it be for general health, relaxation, or to help your posture, balance and suppleness. Tai chi is often called "moving meditation" due to the elegance of the naturally flowing and graceful movements, it is a martial art although the classes focus on the health aspects and on easy to learn Chi Kung movements to improve our energy. Classes suitable for everyone.

This ongoing group is open to anyone who has completed at least one full term of the preceding Finding The Voice sessions (9.00 to 10.00am). Using the earlier work as a basis, we explore ways to develop our musical ear and thus refine our singing. Themes include: listening; creative expression; spontaneity & structure; vocal harmony & blend; musical modes. 

Cost - £65 / £55 per 6 week term, combining Finding The Voice and Developing Musicality as one complete two hour session.

Taijiwuxigong

Taijiwuxigong (pronounced tie chee woo she goong) is a simplified form of Taiji. The student learns how to open the five main energy channels of the body to clear blockages and stagnation on the physical, mental or emotional levels.

Poh-Eng San has studied and developed Taiji energy forces for 16 years. She applies them in the Buqi (boo chee) energy system. She has been teaching Taijiwuxigong for 12 years.

This new class is suitable for current students, who wish to deepen their practice, as well as new students. I hope that holding a class roughly once a month is a manageable commitment for people.

The syllabus will cover the fundamentals of Tai Chi and Chi Kung, including Loosening, mobilisation and relaxation exercises, Tai Chi Chi Kung Shibashi Movements, Standing Chi Kung & Chi Ball exercises, Sitting Meditation (on comfortable chairs), Silk Reeling exercises and 1st part of Chen style Laojia form (Old Frame).
