This series of paintings relates to the places that Ivor Gurney mentions in his poems and reflects his deeply personal love of his home county of Gloucestershire and his longing for the places, sights and sounds of home during his time serving in France in WW1. 

The exhibition also includes paintings started in and around the areas where he served: Ypres and Somme.
