Grieving Weekend – Shanah Rivers

grief weekend

Friday 28th October 11.00am –

Sunday 30th October 4.30pm

Here is an invitation to be a part of a Community Grieving Weekend. A chance to have a spring clean on a heart, soul and mind level….. It is a rare experience to be able to gather together with a group who merge into village life for a weekend.  Together we create a container to be able to release some of the more difficult challenging aspects of our lives. The invisible grief most of us carry.  It is choreographed in such a way that the communal grief is placed into a centre shrine that is healthy for everyone.
Often when we come together to share our grief experiences it can feel very unknown and culturally un-familiar or( just plain exhausting.) But actually in the end is a deep sense of peace and release that doesn’t happen often in the West or whilst grieving alone.  It also has the ability to find more joyful parts of yourself that need to come out. Life is for living….

So if  you feel drawn to Sing, Dance and Drum your grief West African style then you will be warmly welcomed.

The weekend starts at 11am on Friday 28th and completes 4:30pm Sunday 30th October.  Friday we are in the woods all day and move into Lansdown Hall in the evening and remain there until Sunday.

Cost is £325 early bird until the 27th September

If you have not attended a grief weekend previously there is a prerequisite of a one to one session which costs £100. This is to really understand the topic and the depth of what you are signing up for and I will work individually to help focus and look at the grief you may be bringing.

We need a village to grieve  so please forward to your networks if you feel someone in your life would benefit from such a weekend.

With much thanks and gratitude
