Lansdown hall is a multipurpose space suitable for hosting both events and classes. It can accommodate seated events with audiences of up to 150, rising to 250 for standing events. We regularly host theatre, live music, film events as well as seminars, classes and private parties.
The hall is equipped with P.A. system, stage lighting and HD projector and we have an experienced tech crew to make it all work for you.
Hire the hall for theatre: Our stage is ideal for theatre and is used extensively during Stroud Theatre Festival and by various youth drama groups. The floor plan shows back stage details.
Hire the hall for gigs: We’ve got a fantastic sound system and the floor is great for dancing on. We can supply staff, security and a well stocked bar.
Hire the hall for films: We’re home to Lansdown Film Club, and we also welcome other film promoters. We’re experienced at showing films and having everything you need to make your event a success.
Hire the hall for classes: This is an excellent space for movement-based classes – we have long standing dance classes, yoga, Tai Chi and more. If your class needs plenty of space for whatever reason, we could be the venue for you. We take bookings for one-off classes as well as ongoing ones.
Hire the hall for private gatherings: Whether you want a seated event, a disco, a thoughtful afternoon or a lively late night, we can host your event. The hall is a friendly space, with a bar and a relaxed, informal feel to it. We regularly host private parties.
