Low End Theory

Low End Theory

Friday 27th September

8.00pm – 1.00am

Following the success of the inaugural event back in March this year, we are proud to announce that our collaborative Sound System celebration is returning to The Lansdown Hall & Gallery this September.
This time around, we are bringing together a small but mighty line up of triple certified acts, from both the local area and across the country, representing a board and beautiful selection of dub adjacent music combining DJs and live performance.

Headlining proceedings, we have the Coventry based all-female Dub DJ & MC Crew, Sisters in Dub. These ladies are the real deal and have been on our radar for a minute, so we cannot wait to welcome them along and introduce them to our amazing crowd in Stroud. Fresh of the back of a killer run of live shows at festivals and club events all over the country, expect an uplifting, high energy set, with top tier selections and expert hosting.

Playing the set before them we have Yaksha x King David Horns, for 2 hours of prime dub cuts accompanied by the dulcet tones of live brass. Sound system music must run in the family, this father & son duo share the same passion and love for Dub music and in shines through in their sets. Between the two of them there really is no stone in the world of production or performance that remains unturned, having worked in every aspect of the culture in one way or another.

Opening the running order is Stroud local DJ & Producer, Rygby. Having grown up locally before making his name in Bristol, Rygby’s work in UK Dubstep has seen him play sets across Europe and the USA and seen him build up a stack of vinyl releases along the way. He’s set to treat us to a set connecting the roots of dubstep to dubwise & beyond.
Powering our night we are set to have two full stacks of beautiful, colourful, locally based sound system. Prepare to feel the music in your bones as Low End Theory returns on Friday the 27th of September 2024.
