CUTS “A mystery-shrouded AV project, CUTS entire existence revolves around sonic and aesthetic stimuli. Their disconcerting video works are soundtracked by jet black, gradually unfurling drone sagas, nestled somewhere between glacial shifts of emeralds and tribal apocalypse. Segueing from diving-bell-deep growls to sky scraping, synthetic pearls. CUTS live and recorded output thus far promises equally astound- ing things to come.” Crack Magazine. https://www.cutsmusic.co.uk
Lensmen are audio alchemists with a visceral vision of the future rooted in rock’s darker past. In frontman Alun Hughes, they boast a storyteller and slam poet whose twisted tales reflect the band’s shared life experiences drawing on themes of death, dying and… property speculation. They’ve been likened to luminaries such as Magazine, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and the Tindersticks. Alternating between hard and soft, quiet and loud, Lensmen tell the stories that bind us all together.
ECG is an emerging project that combines saxophones, guitar, and layered electronics, featuring Cheltenham-based multi-instrumentalist Chris Cundy, who has played with Guillemots and Devon Sproule among others. Their live performances delve into pulse-orientated instrumentals and moments of highly charged improvisation.
