Who stands out in these troubled times as being on the right side of history?

This exhibition will present portraits of public figures speaking out for democracy, diversity, the environment and the oppressed.

It combines contemporary portraiture with the subjects’ words in a way that can inspire and provoke.

The figures include activists, actors, journalists, musicians, politicians and writers.

The exhibition highlights progressive perspectives on key issues of our age.

Local artist Fred Barker has painted the portraits and chosen the words.
